Why Am I Running?

To whom much is given, much will be required;
more will be demanded from everyone
who has been entrusted with a lot.

We St. Louisans are facing very serious and challenging times throughout our communities.  More specifically, we are plagued with under funded public schools, thousands without healthcare due to severe budget cuts, home security concerns, and a struggling economy due to a number of factors.  This crucial era calls for new and stronger leaders in Jefferson City who are committed to stepping forward in order to create solutions and balance.

If I’m elected State Representative, I will listen to the people, respect diverse points of view, work with a broad spectrum of citizens and community leaders, and make the necessary tough decisions in order to prevail with reasonable solutions.

My qualifications, character, and commitment provide me with the capacity needed to achieve effective results.

If elected, I will continue to dedicate my time and energy to represent and resolve the needs of our community. I’m not in it for a job, I’m in it to get the job done! 

MY PLATFORM POSITIONS:

Our State Capital continues to maintain a stronghold on the City of St. Louis by controlling our public school system and police.  If elected State Representative, I will be a bridge of communication between Jefferson City and the constituents of District 64.  It's important for me to insure that the people know exactly what moves our Legislation is making every step of the way.  

Healthcare:

I will push to increase healthcare funding regardless of politics.

Public Schools:

This matter is more complex then just a funding issue.  It's about
addressing the complex social service needs of our children in a
comprehensive manner.   

As State Representative, I will facilitate a meeting between the 64th
District Constituents, educational community, and government officials
to identify problem areas, concerns, and reasonable solutions that will
put the public school system back on the right track.

Economy:

Using my experience in GREEN development, I will be an outspoken
advocate for a GREEN revolution in the Missouri Legislature.  More
specifically, as State Representative, I will introduce legislation for
GREEN Tax Credits that will create business opportunities, new jobs, and
reduce our energy bills.

Home Security:

The City of St. Louis has serious problems with crime.  Statistics illustrate that there is a direct correlation between increases in crime and the lack of job opportunities.  The best solution is to craft ways to create more jobs.  

Self-Funded Campaign:

I'm not the type of candidate to give empty promises to the constituents.  Thus, I made the decision to self-fund my campaign and not except contributions from lobbyists and third party special interest groups. If elected,  I will be a true voice for District 64 without owing any obligations to fulfill another's self-agenda.
