About Michael V. Roberts Jr., J.D.                

Michael V. Roberts Jr. serves as Vice President of Business Development and heads Roberts Hotels Group under its parent, The Roberts Companies.  His sole responsibility is to increase the net worth of the family owned businesses by expanding the hotel assets and operational management services.  Michael frequently travels throughout the South, Southeast, and Midwest regions of the United States to oversee the 11 operating hotel facilities.  He also hosts and publicly speaks on behalf of The Roberts Companies at several events annually.  Additionally, he monitors all legal transactions involving real estate and commercial development projects.  Prior to his current employment, Michael worked at Armstrong Teasdale, LLP.

Moreover, Michael is co-founder, along with his sister Jeanne Roberts, Esq., of Roberts Twins & Associates, an entertainment consulting firm.  He also co-founded the Gateway Young Democrats of St. Louis, MO. In 2005, he served as the first elected President.  In 2008, Michael volunteered as a Field Operator with Senator Barack Obama’s U.S. Presidential Campaign.

In 2001, Michael received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Morehouse College, with a concentration in Marketing and Finance.  He was elected as Student Body Trustee on the Morehouse Board of Trustees his Sophomore and Junior years.  In 2002, he studied International Business Law and International Dispute Resolution at the University of Modena in Modena, Italy.  In 2004, he received his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine School of Law located in Malibu, CA.  In 2006, Michael earned his Professional Degree after completing an accelerated Hospitality Operations program at New York University’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Travel Administration.  He holds membership in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Phi Alpha Delta, Inc., and Prince Hall Affiliated Freemasonry.
